This just looks too greasy. As someone who actually prefers a plain bun to brioche because of how sickly greasy the combination of a (sometimes buttered) brioche bun with a greasy patty, I cannot imagine how overwhelming this would be. In my opinion it’s just unbalanced. Any great classic burger (OKC onion and mustard, a classic cheeseburger with tomato, onions and pickles, a california burger with hot sauce) will have a sharp, acidic element, a refreshing veg and a usually second source of fat (besides the patty). This burger is just fat (patty) with fat (cheese) with fat (egg) with fat (bacon bits) sandwiched between a pastry that is literally 50% fat in volume.

It does look good. I’m not sure the croissant is structurally the best choice. A good croissant is supposed to be light and airy.You add a load of heavy toppings and it’ll sag. I agree with the person above, I prefer a plain bun to something like a brioche or potato bun.

I’d have used 2 croissants instead of cutting one in half, the bottom bun was probably deliciously soggy while tasty as hell is inconvenient. Otherwise it looks delicious
