I feel like this took 17 years, but here it is! What do you think? What should I be looking for? How do I get better at this?

    17 years well spent! Getting better is the rub. What you’ve made looks like Sourdough! Is it better with fancy cutting designs? Not in my book. There are different processes to make sourdough. A bread stone and steam pan are a better approximation of an industrial steam oven. But a Dutch oven also turns out a fine loaf.
