I’ve recently gotten into using uncooked impossible meat in sandwiches. The new Lite impossible meat is my go to now for a ton of meals. For this one, I added a little bit of dijon mustard, caraway seeds, pumpkin pie spice, black pepper, red pepper flakes and pickle juice. Thousand Island dressing is a simple vegan mayo, ketchup and relish mix. Served on toast with margarine and topped with sauerkraut. Impossible meat can also be used for other deli sandwiches like “roast beef” or “ham” using spice mixes such as better than bouillon no beef broth. I’ve also made “salami” flavor as well using a bit of liquid smoke and tomato paste. I’m not a fan of most vegan deli products, so I’m really happy to have found this solution.
