Ingredients for the Dough
1 cup warm milk
1 cup warm water
Slightly less than 1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet instant yeast
Flour, as needed for a soft dough

For the Topping
Half a tea glass of molasses
Half a tea glass of water
Sesame seeds

Preparation
Combine all the dough ingredients in a bowl and knead until you have a soft dough.
Cover and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
After the dough has risen, divide it into small balls, about the size of a mandarin.
Take each ball, divide it in half, roll each half into a rope, then twist them together to form a ring shape.
Dip each ring in the molasses-water mixture, then coat with sesame seeds and place on a baking tray.
Bake at 200°C (about 390°F) until the tops are golden brown.

Enjoy your simit!
