At the risk of saying the obvious, don’t microwave metal lids or rings, however. Also, if the jar has a plastic microwave-safe lid on it, be sure to loosen or remove the lid before microwaving, so pressure doesn’t build up inside.

Yes, you can microwave glass canning jars.
