Minibar in Washington DC. I dined here in 2018 at Jose’s table and really enjoyed it. They now have a new chef so the entire menu is different. Service and food were excellent. The wine pairing was really good with the courses.

The food might be great but I can’t get over the unsettling array of ‘plates’.
1) Wooden slats, why???
2) Flat, glass topped bowl, looks impractical and just weird.
3) The grey hand is horror movie creepy.
4) Plate that looks like a melted rug looks impractical but I’m fine with it (the pic isn’t entirely clear).
5) Plate that looks like oxidised / metal, not for me.
6) There is a dish that looks like a dirty potty / dog bowl filled with urine, absolutely diabolical. Might be the most unappetising dish I have ever seen on this sub.
