I used this recipe https://www.theclevercarrot.com/2014/01/sourdough-bread-a-beginners-guide/
I’ve baked a lot over the years (mostly French bread and pastries) and make pizza often. I got into sourdough to make sourdough pizza dough (which is great, by the way) and pasta, and now I’m making bread with it!
Any tips based on the photos? I used more water, about 300g, as the recipe allows for, because the dough seemed on the dry end with only 250g. I also let it bake for an extra ten minutes to get more color, but I didn’t want it to bake for much longer than that. I really like the exterior, it is crunchy but not too crunchy. I used a sharp pairing knife to score the bread but next time I’ll use a razor. I’m excited to experiment with designs. The inside is a nice texture. It has a nice sourdough taste!
I used my white flour starter for this. I also have a rye starter. I plan to make a rye loaf next, and I’ll start the dough for that tonight!
Thanks
