I almost want to buy it just to see what it looks like coming out. But $11 will buy a whole lot of beans instead.

Maybe it’d have a canned chili kind of vibe. But yeah, $11 is not something I want to pay for a food science experiment

What are the prices for fresh ground beef in the US?

I love that people donate shit like this to the local food pantry. The other day I used canned chicken to make taco meat. It was far from great, but it wasn’t bad at all either. Wouldn’t normally buy canned meat but it was free and wasn’t even out of date yet, so there’s no way I could turn my nose up to it.

College me would have taken a chance on this if on sale, for almost 2lbs of ground meat. Use it as a quick chili or meat sauce base, probably meat sauce cause with pasta can stretch that to like 4-5+ meals easily.

A fuck ton of lard rises to the top. It’s kinda gross but easy to remove.

I could understand if this were a substitute for fresh ground beef in theory, but at that cost, I could by 1kg of fresh beef where I live. Fresh versus canned is a no brainier

I’ve had something like this before. It wasn’t bad, the one I had was cooked medium rare-ish and it’s a lot of it in there with the juices.

  9. $11 Jesus. I can buy a lb of ground beef from the store for $6.
