Nailed it! Boston cream pie is trickier than it seems yours looks pro level.

My thoughts? I thought it would be real nice if you’d share that with me. It’s making my mouth water. Beautiful work, especially for a first time!
SaaSyGirl
It looks spectacular and I would crush a slice. My only question is how come you added what looks like coconut shavings?
Successful-Coffee-92
Yours looks delectable. I’ve tried and I can never get the custard to hold up. What’s your secret?

One of my favorites, along with eclairs. Congrats!
Train_Guy97
That looks very good and very delicious as well 🙂

gorgeous. how did it taste and what recipe did you use?
OlWizardTower
So pretty!! The layers are really cool jealous I cant taste some!
Staytrippy75
Your first time?? And when should we expect to see the opening of your bakery? Damn that looks amazing.
orange_erin47
It looks lovely but what kind of chocolate icing did you make? Every boston cream I’ve ever eaten / made has a very thin almost glaze like ganache on top.
Laddy2021
Can you please provide the recipe? BCP I’m my absolute favorite dessert!!
tomandshell
Never seen one with such a thick chocolate layer—usually just a relatively thin glaze. That looks interesting.
ilbiker67
Great job. Looks really good.

It has been ages since I had Boston Cream Pie. I seem to recall the topping was more like a glossy, thin ganache. A rather skimpy topping actually. But since I love chocolate, the thicker layer of chocolate frosting on your dessert is so much better. And wow does the cream filling look luscious!

I used acetate. It keeps it’s shape while still being soft enough to cut through 🥰

Score 🙌🏼

Seems like the cream is going to ooze out when cut. Maybe flip the chocolate and the cream layers since the chocolate looks sturdier?
therolli
So good.

Bostonian here (well, from the suburbs anyway): that’s what a BCP should look like! I like that your chocolate layer is a little more thick and fudgy than what you normally see. I’ll bet it tastes spectacular!

YUM!
Random_Pedestrian_
Looking at that gave me a creampie.

Yum…😋

That looks lovely. As a Bostonian, I did!
Saffer60
Yum! That’s a good reason to travel to America. I need to find a recipe for that. Looks spectacular.

The ganache should be darker and shiny but otherwise it looks delicious!
And no coconut!
ash_bishop
I’m afraid you’ll have to send me a slice to get my full opinion 🤲

I’m not a big cake lover, except for when it’s Boston Cream! Love, love, love it and thanks for reminding me to make another one! It looks delish!
rumplestrut
This looks phenomenal! Did you assemble it in a pan or with vellum?
My only observation is that the pastry cream could be set up just a tad bit more. I’d keep the cake layers and everything else exactly how they are. I bet it was delicious!!
EastTyne1191
Listen, that looks like a giant doughnut and I must have it!!!
My goodness that looks tasty!

I swore this was an aeropress puck. Got me on the look back. Delicious

It looks beautiful! Brings back memories it was my father‘s fave, I’d make it for him every year when it was his birthday or a special occasion

My parents are going to my uncles birthday away from country, leaving me and my lil bro alone for the weekend. Just as I was thinking what I could bake❕️🤔

The custard never survives a knife cut. Beautiful otherwise.
