[American] SCONES!
A coffee shop near me hooked me on this amazing cheddar and chive scone then kept messing them up after that one beautiful one (dense, oily, over baked) so I took things into my own hands.
Scones and sources of recipes:
White cheddar and chive: Barley & Sage (glad I found this one first because she had really helpful tips)
Pumpkin: Sally’s Baking Addiction (I did not do the topper and I should have, husband loved them!)
Blueberry Lemon: Mom on Timeout (I feel like frozen blueberries would be better than fresh? I feel like mine were too big so they weren’t dispersed enough)
Black pepper, Gruyère, Walnut: NYT (I actually really don’t like walnuts in scones unless there’s a layer of butter on top)
Oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip: M Loves M
They were all great! My ranking based on taste to work ratio from best to worst:
1. 5. 3. 2. 4.
(I don’t use a bigger pan because my oven is small and this is the largest that will fit)

I’ve been looking up lots of scone recipes lately, and I have frozen blueberries … Yours look yummy!
Amazing!! My sister dated a guy who owned a bakery. She would always bring home apricot ginger scones. They were one of the only scones I ever liked but I’ve never had much exposure. I will need to try some of these.
These are gorgeous! Have you experimented with any holiday flavors?
The white cheddar and chive scones look Devine!!! I guess I know what my next bake is
They look delicious! I love making scones and this just encouraged my sweet tooth to try some savory flavors
Beautiful!!! I love homemade scones. I’ve never liked store bought bc they’re so dry, but that’s all I knew!! I made my own and it was a game changer
