Shuttered and a For Rent sign, are the official out of business? Did they move? I’m sad, I really liked this place

I wish I had known about it. Looks awesome

closed a few months ago i think. i suspect it’s a landlord issue because they originally closed for some building problems. though they were never that packed. it’s a shame because i liked their patties, drinks, and food.

I always thought this was a veterinarian…

that location is TERRIBLE. My wife, from Toronto, loves a patty. I never was able to park around there to go.

The Caribbean American Bakery in Rogers Park makes great patties, beef, chicken, and veggie

I went there once before a show. Waited two hours for our food, and got the complete wrong order at the end of it. They corrected, but also gave us additional food that was not ordered. Seemed like the kitchen was having a hard time keeping up with the 3 people in there along with online orders. Didn’t make a stink about it or anything, the staff was nice and very apologetic. I left my 20% tip and planned on never going back. Looks like no one will be going there for the foreseeable future now.

I swear that intersection is cursed

They said on their social media that they were closing for some kind of building issues a few months ago, but the “for rent” sign is new. I really hope they can open somewhere else because their food was amazing. It’s a huge loss

Dang that’s a bummer! The owner was my Uber driver years ago before they opened. He talked my ear off about his vision and I was so happy for him once he finally opened. Place was tasty too! Hope he can find a new space.

Bummer. Location sucked. If they had a spot on Division it would have done great

It’s so eerie to see their last post and hope that it actually reopened and to walk down the street and see the for rent sign go up.

I honestly didn’t have a great experience there but maybe my experience with that one random girl who worked there was a fluke. I highly recommend Jerk Yard and Cafe Trinidad
