    Great pie! How are you getting the 18 in your oven? What kind of steel do you use?

    Apartment ovens can be pretty great. I rented from a slum lord once and the range had a big hole in it because it was rusted out. It still functioned but a good landlord would have replaced the stove. Nevertheless, that oven went to 650 degrees and I made some pretty incredible pizza in it.

    The moral is that some apartment ovens can be better than a fancy new oven, even if (or maybe because) they aren’t as safe.
