With everything going on, I wanted to treat myself to some comfort food yesterday. Y’all were not lying about the #19! What a delicious sandwich. The rye bread was super flavorful and I’d say very balanced, both in ingredient ratios and fattiness/acidity.

It’s not a cheap sandwich, but it was what I needed.

Sandwich + tax: $29.57

I will never pay Beverley Hills prices to dine in a literal skid row

It’s not even that expensive people. Lunch at Panera for a really shitty sandwich is like $20.

  3. cyberspacestation

Did you order any extras on it? Their Google listing has it at $24 before tax.

Inflation sucks. At Father’s Office, their Office Burger has gone up to $22. I’d imagine Langer’s has enough demand to set its prices a bit higher.

  4. Thanks, OP for sharing. Sure looks damn tasty, especially in Portrait mode!

The location, hours and price — and now looking more like a mid- sandwich — makes this a non-starter for me

Their house made cream soda is an excellent pairing.

I just drove from Vegas yesterday to have one of these. Such a staple.

I’m happier right now just looking at this.

Might get roasted, but anyone else think Belle’s Westlake is just as good, if not better? And it’s like $9 cheaper. A little less pastrami, though.

Damn I wish getting there and parking wasn’t such a hassle. It’s such a great “treat myself” meal.

    so worth it, long term.

they have awesome french fries too.

I have lived in LA my whole life and never tried Langers. I hope to go soon and order the #19. I heard there was a hack to also add corned beef to the 19, anyone ever tried this?

  13. Mariano42cutter

I’d totally kill that, but any other purists out there that don’t get putting Swiss cheese and cole slaw on some of the best pastrami in the country?

I went there after the Dodgers Parade. Got the 19. Last time I went it was $25. The time before that it was $19. Now its $30 for a sandwich. Not going back ever again. They can close for all I care.

The owner is planning on closing soon. I drove down few hrs just for this and was disappointed to hear they’ll be closing.

I keep telling people… the #44 rules over the #19

  17. VaguelyArtistic

That reminds me,I need to make some half-sours.

  18. princess_melons_

Oh my! That’s look very delicious!

  19. silverlakw

One of my favorites but it’s just gotten stupid expensive not to mention, it’s been sized down

  20. It was over priced 15 years ago when I first and last had it.

  21. LaurLoey

Omg $30 for a sammich? I’ll take your word for it. 😂

  22. Been once. It is good.

And one sandwich can feed 2 people imo.

  23. Autistic_Observer

I stopped here for the first time a few weeks ago. It was good, but not at all worth the price!
For a sandwich like this one, an iced tea, and tip cost me $40!!!
That’s ridiculous! It would be $100 for two people to each have sandwiches, drinks, and adding one order of fries.
Maybe Langer’s business issues aren’t entirely location based.

  24. Salestastic

Is this better than the pastrami at NY deli in Torrance?

  25. ironmemelord

Will they toast the bread if you ask them too? Can’t stand floppy bread on a pastrami

  26. Fadedmastodon

First time I had this was this year and it was only because my boss sometimes asks what we want from a place. Usually it’s a taco place or a burger place. One time it was langers. She bought 7 sandwiches in total. It was soooo good
