I’ve recently tried both and it’s like night and day. It’s quite a price hike for what’s considered standard teishoku restaurant meals in Japan.

I have not seen a Yayoiken in the US, but I have seen an Ootoya here. The prices are like tripled compared to Japan.

There are 6 Yayoi chain restaurants here in Sydney, Australia. Similar to US prices, high minimum wage here though… and it’s not exactly targeting the office worker budget lunch market. Stark difference to the Japan Yayoi restaurants.
There are many cheaper and budget Japanese restaurants for that.
