I went last year and it was ehhhh okay, I’m thinking about going this year. 5 drinks and unlimited pizza for $60 isn’t a bad deal. But I just worry they will have the same issues they had last year (not enough ovens, horrible drink selection, cold pizzas). I’m willing to give them another chance though.

After reading your description, it sounds like you don’t learn from your mistakes. This sounds like a waste of time and money the way you said last year went. Why go back?

$60 for unlimited cold pizza and bad drinks does, in fact, sound like a bad deal

Who put this whole poster together and decided to leave off the date?

Couldn’t even bother using the Background Remover tool on logos when they made this in Canva? Or gotten transparent/vector images for the logos?

At $60 a pop per person, spending 1-2 people’s entry fees on a graphic designer’s time would have given some more confidence in this event…

Im intrigued. I love pizza (even cold). I know what I’ll be googling today.

My Tripping Billy Pizza collaboration with Gino’s East will be served there and I’ll be hanging and helping out for a bit. I haven’t been to the event since the pre pandemic days but the lineup is great and Royal Palms is a great place to have it. Hope to see some of you there.

  7. How many times have these “pizza fests” failed?

  8. ThreeCrapTea

Most of these food item themed “fests” are like lil mini Fyre fests all over the city. So quaint.

I went last year and a few of the places weren’t even doing full slices of pizza. They were doing that bullshit they would do in elementary school where they take a normal slice of pizza and slice into 3/4 smaller slices and give that.

Definitely not worth $60 – but the Royal Palms is a cool location by itself.

Make sure you try some Soothsayer Hot Sauce if you’re going to attend!!! Killer locally made sauce!!!

Not if I don’t know what day it’s happening

If you haven’t learned your lesson going to all the previous years, maybe this will be your year!

Yeesh. This is a pretty weak “summit” in my humble opinion.

I will buy a shot for anyone who mentions Reddit at the bar

There is no way you get the value out of this. Just spend $60 at your favorite pizza place instead.

    No date on poster

No price on poster ($60 is ridiculous though)

No pizza spots I know I like (yes offense Gino’s)

    Shit looks ass

I don’t do Chicago good fests anymore. Worst way to experience the food IMO.

  18. AbsorbingMan

Everyone knocking every bit of this poster but y’all ok with “legendary Chicagoan Joseph Nunez”?!?

I’d go just to support Soothsayer. They are a rad brand, local, and do a lot for local music. Kyle rules.

I guess it’s so nice that someone put this together but, look, there’s maybe four spots on that list (and I’m being generous because tbh I’m only interested in two) that most folks both recognize and wanna check out. By that metric, personally, I’d rather drive around on a Thursday night, grab the pies, heat up the oven, light a joint, and enjoy those pies reheated in the comfort of my home while rewatching interview with a vampire for the millionth time.

Hard pass. But thank you for sharing!

Would be nice to know when it’s happening…
