I love nopales but I have always boiled them, how do you feel grilling affects the taste and also slimey-ness?

OK OP… you are being industrious here. In many places, tacos de carnitas are always served with a generous serving of nopales and unlimited salsa, of course, which ends up mixed in the taco as you eat it… or not. It seems you cut the middle man and went right to the mixing… genius.
