I had some left over icing from the party crocs as well as a little ball of dough- so why not have some fun?

What I learned:

  • It is fun and challenging to work within limitations! I tried to play with 2d and 3d shapes while working with a limited colour palette.

  • You can scrape off details if you make a mistake, just be aware dark will stain light.

  • Royal icing can thin out in the bag over time?? I need to read up on this…

  • Propping a cookie up for photographs can really help add dimension to an image. Flare can become dynamic!

I’m going to think about Christmas cookies next. Something modern and fun? Or a classic? I’m excited to think of some colour palettes and can’t wait to share my progress.

Stay tuned for Part 4!

    That’s from a beginner?!

The people in this sub are so skilled and creative.

I love the first image especially.

Nice colors and incorporation of negative space. (Empty places add serenity.)
