Some would say $700 on a pizza oven is too much, my wife included. But I disagree

$700 is a great price for what it is.

i got my ooni koda 16 for $300 a couple of years ago.

  2. rb56redditor

That looks like a $700. pizza to me. All the rest are free! Well done, congratulations.

Bought the Arc XL over the summer. Previous oven was an Ooni 3.

I have zero regrets. Love this thing.

  4. susitucker

Holy Christmas. That oven would pay for itself in no time. Those look amazing.

At this point it’s a *need* not just a want.

lol. That’s nothing. I know a guy, spent 13k on a woodburning pizza oven trailer for his wife to start a business, now it sits in their driveway, and they make, vac seal and sell a few frozen pizzas here and there. Now she wants do change focus. lol, poor bastard. He is also paying for school for her. Poor guy.

A Mugnaini prima 120 is $16,000. Your not even close to expensive. Or you could do a mud oven, those are cheap but need 100,000 man hours to build.

It’s better than $700 on drugs I choose my addictions wisely!! Congrats OP

  9. Think of how much money you spend by not ordering pizza out. Why even bother when it looks that amazing. I would get every single one of these pies. Well done!

I’m happy to eat your wife’s share if she’s unhappy with the cost lol.

Currently waiting to pick up our two Friday night pizzas. $50 with tip. It would only take us 14 weeks to recoup our investment. I think I need to look into this!

  12. Wow, this has gotten a lot of traction. I’d like to thank u/Glens-Aussie-BBQ I actually found his posts on Reddit and bought an oven (the cheap one) because of him.

Also a shoutout to my son who loves pizza and has eaten a lot of my failures because he loves me and pizza (he probably loves pizza most and that’s ok)

The average pro deck oven is about 9,000-12,000, so that’s pretty good.

  14. Dependent_Stop_3121

Pays for itself in less than 20 uses!! Tell her that for me 😉 lol 😂

  15. FreeIce4613

You clearly have some skills that oven just helped you level up. Beautiful pies. That’s a $20 pizza these days. Including ingredient costs you could likely pay it off in year compared to take out or restaurant pizza.

  16. lycanthrope90

I literally just spent 56$ on a large pizza, 12 wings and a small cheezy bread pick up order. That shit will pay for itself fairly quickly lol

  17. PsychopathDeadly

Back when I had a house full of kids that would have paid for itself in 3-4 months. Friday night was pizza night.

  18. coracaodegalinha

Yo where did you get w dome for $700?!

My roccbox still does the job plenty fine but that dome would allow me to make larger pies!!

  19. flawrs919

That is only like 30 delivered pizzas with tip. And that’s crappy pizza. This thing pays for its self after the weekend.

  20. radpizzadadd

I went from a ooni 12 to a gozney dome, huge difference

  21. i’ve been debating getting this for a long time… just no where to pput it

  22. DefeaterOfDragons

The browning on the cheese is making my mouth water!

  23. saposapot

Thats a very good looking pizza.

Rationally I can buy a lot of pizza from my local shop for $700 but I can’t argue you are making good usage of it.

But… 700 bucks and sauce from a jar? Come on…save some money, more natural and make your own!

  24. ferchizzle

Time for a new wife. Make sure you get to keep the pizza oven in the settlement.

  25. oftheRiddermark

Trying to convince my wife every day. Looks great op

  26. dragonadamant

That looks delicious. I’d call that a worthy purchase, and someday I want my own.

  27. peepsliewilliams

A night out for good pizza costs $50, this will pay for itself soon

  28. Much-Code-2360

Listen: sometimes you gotta go the correct road alone. Pizza oven was the correct road.

  29. Oh my god I’d give you $700 to always make me pizza. Great purchase.

  30. Helpful-nothelpful

Just wait until the knockoff is out. It always happens.

  31. ooosiedooosie

By the 80th pizza it basically paid for itself if you ask me tbh

  32. Lensmaster75

At $30 a pizza it pays for itself in Les than a year if you eat it every other week.

  33. stumbling_stoic

Not being snarky, genuinely curious as I’m just getting into pizza making… why buy an expensive pizza oven when you can just use your stove?

  34. These look like pizza bougie places would charge $22/$25 bucks for so I’d say it was a solid investment! Keep up the good work.
