Their basic grills don’t last more than a couple seasons. Layer in electronics and you’re probably looking at replacing parts before your next oil change.

  2. My last char broil was about that price, lasted 18 months.

I don’t buy new I pick them up free on the side of the road touch them up a little bit and get the same amount of use out of it and the new ones usually rot out just as fast as an old one I fix up

For that price it’s disposable. Get it and save your pennies to get a higher quality unit in the future.

Nope. Grills do not need electronics beyond a simple igniter.

I’d buy a 5-10 year old used weber in great shape all day long over some cheap new grill.

2 weeks in they are both going to look used, but only one is still going to be a pleasure to cook on in even just 2-3 years.

    Do I hate myself?

    Do I hate meat?

If you can answer at least one of those with a No. You should not buy this grill

Definitely. Treat it well and it’ll last a few years. People don’t take care of their cheap grills and then wonder why they break so fast, but I’ve gotten 6 years out of a cheap char broil before and I didn’t even *need* to replace it, just wanted something better.

Yes, only because I recycled my old one 6yrs ago and I only use it about 10x/yr. Got a taste for ribs.

Charbroil is trash, but for that price, it can be trash for as long as it lasts

No. Walk away and never look back. FIL bought a char broil and the burners were shot after a month.
