I had this ravioli in Venice, the menu just said ravioli with cream, but I can’t figure out what this was on the side. I think it was some sort of sweet jam or jelly, but I’m not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Also the ravioli was so good, anyone know a good recipe to try and replicate this?

This is everything wrong with Venice…

I saw their website and some reviews.

It should be ravioli alla panna with poppy seeds, accompanied by a balsamic vinegar glaze.

The sauce should be the same as that described for tortellini alla panna ([recipe](https://www.cucchiaio.it/ricetta/tortellini-alla-panna/)), i.e. broth, cream, and parmigiano.
On this same website, you should be able to find a recipe for meaty or vegetarian ravioli.

For the sweet part, you can find the recipe for the glassa/riduzione [here](https://blog.giallozafferano.it/inventaricette/come-preparare-la-riduzione-di-aceto-balsamico/).

Are those poppy seeds on the ravioli? I cannot see them well enough to figure it out. It looks like the glaze has some thyme on it. Glad you liked them, that is the purpose of going to the restaurant. You find things that you like and then you try to copy them.
