My first time posting here and hoping you lovely Redditors can help.
Local Ramen Shop, used standard issue disposable chopsticks to show how big the bowl is.
Shio Yuzu Ramen;
*8hr Chicken broth,
*2 Pork Charsu pieces,
*1/2 a Soft boiled egg,
*Menma (bamboo shoot),
*Wood ear Mushrooms,
*A Frick tonne of green onion,
*A tiny slice of Naruto
*(I did not squeeze or eat my lemon this time but if it could be factored in for next time I don't mind)
*About 1&1/2cups of thin ramen noodles?
I've been doing really well for counting calories at home when I make and can weigh everything, but this is the first time I tried to budget them and eat out… Hoping it's not more then 1000cal 🤞
Thanks so much for your help!

hi! I estimated 500-800 (800 on the VERY safe side) at first glance and ran thru an ai to partially check my estimate— it said this:
Ingredients and Estimated Calories
1. 8-hour Chicken Broth
• Light chicken broth is typically around 50-100 calories per cup. Assuming 1.5 cups, that’s approximately 75-150 calories.
2. 2 Pieces of Pork Chashu
• Chashu pork is rich due to its fatty content. Each slice is approximately 80-100 calories. For 2 pieces: 160-200 calories.
3. 1/2 a Soft-Boiled Egg
• A full medium egg is around 70 calories, so half is about 35 calories.
4. Menma (Bamboo Shoots)
• Menma is low in calories, with a tablespoon being about 5 calories. Estimate for a small serving: 10-15 calories.
5. Wood Ear Mushrooms
• Very low in calories. A small handful is around 10 calories.
6. Green Onion
• Even a generous serving is only about 5-10 calories.
7. Narutomaki (Fish Cake)
• A single small slice is about 10-15 calories.
8. Thin Ramen Noodles (1.5 cups)
• Cooked ramen noodles are approximately 200-250 calories per cup. For 1.5 cups: 300-375 calories.
9. Lemon Slice
• Negligible unless squeezed or eaten, around 2-3 calories.
Total Calories Estimate
• Low estimate: 605 calories
• High estimate: 810 calories
i would track 650-700! unsure of macros, but if the estimates you and the ai gave r accurate, they r relatively calculable. you can tweak as you please depending on the sizing of the broth and noodles! the unfortunate thing about ai and calorie estimating is that it can never be completely accurate, so its important to be comfortable with making estimates at times :). its easy to over-consume restaurant food, but its still important to be mindful of how you feel when it comes to estimating. hope you enjoyed— looks delish! def nowhere near 1000 🫶
