Sweet & Buttery Cornbread with Honey Butter

Ingredients for Cornbread:
• 2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 3 large eggs (room temperature)
• 1 stick of melted salted butter

Ingredients for Honey Butter:
• 1/2 cup honey
• 1/2 stick of butter (melted)

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven: Set it to 400°F (200°C). Grease 9×9-inch pan (or similar size)
2. Mix the cornbread ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the 2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix and 1 cup sugar. Stir to mix. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sour cream, and eggs. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Then, mix in the melted salted butter.
3. Bake the cornbread: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Make the honey butter: While the cornbread is baking, in a small bowl, mix the 1/2 cup of honey with the 1/2 stick of melted butter until smooth.
5. Drizzle the honey butter: Once the cornbread is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the honey butter over the warm cornbread for a sweet, buttery finish.
6. Serve and enjoy!
