So im very pleased to say this is my first weber….

There's a good story to it where I ordered a kettle from Amazon, shipped from the US to Aus and unfortunately they fkin lost it.. pain in the ass as they kept giving me updates that it would be delivered this day. And then that date and then in the end. Your order has been lost…. so yeah, I got my refund and was going to order again as the price was right…

Now in my eagerness and disappointment, I started having a look on marketplace too and spotted a couple. Including this one which I basically snapped up as it was local and I was just over the amazon issues!

So I thought I was buying brand new. Black, basic weber kettle and when I got there the lady had actually been advertising on behalf of an older bloke, who explained he'd had this weber in his garage for nearly 30 years, never opened it and didn't even know it was red and not black haha. So I was actually happily surprised to find out I was purchasing one that was made in 1995, [I checked the serial when I got home] and generally happy to get my hands on older or vintage stuff.

Long-story short I considered what It would be worth selling on but also decided I was stoked to get my hands on a brand new older model, no school like the old school right? 😀

Congrats! Great grill. I still have mine collecting dust in my back yard from 93-94. Hasn’t been used since 2014 or so but I keep it just in case. Cooked a lot of great meals in it during that time.

Curious if the legs wobble on the old 90s US made grills like my new one? I imagine these are much beefier but can’t tell from the pictures.

Older is much better. The wooden handle takes it over the top. Great purchase.
