I’m looking for recommendations of weird food combinations to try in Japan, preferably near tokyo.
I,ve tried:
-Dominos pizza with tapioca, cheese, sugar and chocolate
-Carbonara udon (at menchirashi, harajuku)
-Chocolate and matcha flavor indian curry (it was horrible btw)
-Dango sandwich (at a bakery in nakano)

Words can’t describe how excited I am to try that carbonara. I know people have been underwhelmed but I LOVE fatty buttery creamy food 🥹 and the udon noodles with it look heavenly and look like texture perfection
I tried the Carbonara Udon at Marugameseimen and it was terrible. I can see somewhere like Udon Shin being a step up but…
Is the curry supposed to be pic 2? Is it chocolate curry in the metal cups too?
The cheese, sugar and chocolate doesnt sound that bad, tbh. Depends of which cheese, really.
That dango panini is uhh interesting
For the curry location it was “asian dining yummy”, in shinjuku (the picture has the chocolate cheese nan with curry, the matcha one is not in the picture)
