What’s the seasoning and the sauces? Cheap but looks good to me.

Looks pretty good for budget, real nice potatoes and you seasoned them. I’d have that with some lamb I think.

I make something similar called “poor man’s meal” it’s from the Great Depression and consists of chopped potatoes and onions and hotdogs (I usually use sausage or bacon) tossed in some oil and seasoning and friend or baked until done.

[Here’s where I got the idea, she had a channel with a few Depression era recipes.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p-GVl7scrYE&pp=ygUOUG9vciBtYW5zIG1lYWw%3D)

Thanking the poverty angels I have so much stockpiled pasta, spices, canned veggies and a mother who taught me how to cook. Meals are looking like this too most days!

Looks better than what 80% of people
    Eat lol

I love air frying potatoes. Did the red onions go good with it? Also the heck is in that sauce?

  13. ViciousCombover

Damn, you’ve even had to cut back on the numpad too.

In all seriousness it looks great. Doing the best with what you got.

I was broke and my mom bought me a bag of red potatoes. Made so many meals, I also had a couple different spices cuz I worked at a restaurant so no hate to this meal at all. Honestly I still eat these lol

Sautéed or caramelized onions but absolutely would. Maybe an egg.

Food doesn’t have to be expensive to be healthy and delicious.

A tasty and cost effective potato dish you should try is roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Just need some yellow flesh potatoes and roasted garlic, though obviously better with butter

  18. FadedAlienXO

Wow. I pay 90 something cents for a singular potato.

I really recommend Julia Pacheco’s channel on YouTube. She has 100s of easy, budget friendly, and delicious recipes on her channel with easy instructions for all types of cooking… stove top, crock pot, oven. She gives alternate ingredients for some items you may not have in stock or care for.
Here are a couple of samples. Also, try your local food pantry for staples to keep on hand. This time of year they get lots of food donations. Good luck.

This actually looks so delicious. I’d add some cheese or something too. Hang in there

People really sleep on tofu. Is a cheap ass protein and it’s really good if you cook it right. I’m not vegetarian or anything but I eat it a lot. Just press it, chop it into squares and toss it in seasoning and air fry/ bake it and it’s bomb. 1 block of tofu is like $1 and it’s enough for 2 meals.

But also, those potatoes look bomb. Good job.

Looks good. Off-topic but what keyboard is that?

  25. georgey_porgey
