Smoked turkey for 40ish people.
My son’s basketball team had an event that coincided with a work potluck….and with a few days of sunny 70 degree weather in the forecast I once again had to have my arm twisted to light a fire in my smoker 😀.
I never have really figured out whole birds on my rig without drying them out…so I decided just to break them down and use a few different recipes on the parts.
Hickory and Apple-fired breast/thighs/dark meat, carnival turkey legs, and my old faithful hot wing recipe on the giant flats.
My best turkey cook ever…I hope everyone enjoys eating it as much as I did smoking it.
