Can anybody tell me what are these peppers?

I live in Colombia, where it’s not easy to find a variety of fresh hot peppers. I’m lucky that a nearby produce store carries jalapeños. They put the pictured peppers on sale the other day. They didn’t have a name for them and said they had about the same heat as jalapeños if I avoided the pith. I bought one and tried the flesh, and they were right.

I bought a bunch yesterday. I included some pith in a bite, and it knocked me on my butt. The burning wouldn’t go away, and I had stomach cramps, which is rare for me.

Any idea what these are?
