I bought a new Anova Precision and on first use noticed it was very loud. It had a very shrill noise from the motor. After contacting Anova support to get a replacement unit they’ve responded with,

>Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear about this issue.
>
>I’d like to apologise for the delay getting back to you.
>
>Please be advised that the new Anova Precision Cooker has a different sound because the motor has been upgraded from our previous model to be more energy efficient, boast a longer lifetime, and helps make the cooker IPX7 water and splash resistant.

>
>I watched to your video and it sounds normal to me. If yours is much louder than real life, please let me know.

Looks like their new $200 USD unit is just noisy. I’ll be returning this one and looking for something in an older generation or another brand. My two previous Anova’s weren’t nearly this noisy.
