  1. I haven’t had a good 鸡尾包 since I left the west coast. These look great!

    Although, in Hong Kong (at least years ago when I lived there, the average size of the 鸡尾包 (cocktail bread) was quite a bit smaller. About half the size you generally see here. They were a little softer and the filling to bread ratio was a little higher. They were so good. I was younger then so had a couple most mornings.

    I can smell this photo. Chinese bakery by me always smells like melting butter, it takes all my willpower not to buy a pineapple bun every day.

    I love the Chinese bakeries in San Francisco so much. I haven’t been able to find anything similar outside of San Francisco. I haven’t done an exhaustive search of every city in the United States but I sure do miss those long onion rolls.
