Parmesan swede chips. Tasted awful. What can I make with the second swede?

Mashed swede is good! It’s even better with butter but still decent without.

For easy mode you can actually just microwave the entire swede for 20-30 mins depending on size (just chop off the top) and scoop the innards out then mash with plenty of salt and pepper. If it’s mashed well it has a lovely creamy texture even with nothing else added.

Delicious as a side to roasted chicken (or any meat really) especially with gravy.

I use it mashed for shepherds/cottage pie in place of mashed potatoes. Tastes really good.

    Mash is great.

But do you actually like swede?

It’s ok to just not use the other one if you don’t like that veggie. No sense in forcing it.

Swede = Rutabaga for my fellow americans

Mashed with salt, pepper and butter. Sometimes rutabaga/swede just isn’t good though. It can be overly bitter and stringy if not harvested at the right time.

Carrot and swede mashed together is a pretty traditional side to a roast dinner in the UK. Needs butter!

I saw a short video where a chef explained that plain salt is much more effective than other spices in flavoring vegetables.

As a Swede I had to double take.. we make special fries?

Sliced thin with mandolin and baked into a ‘crisp’ shape on a silicon mat. With hummus!
Or mashed with potato like everyone else said.
