Often described as a mini Krug grande cuvée, this grower produces an exceptionally complex champagne that punches well above its weight class. 50% Pinot Noir with equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier making up the remainder. Personally, I like that this has only the noble grapes (as a champagne nerd).

The colour is leaning to golden, leading you to think this might have some age on it.

In the glass, the aromas are complex. Apple, lemon, pear, brioche and a sweet note like caramel flawlessly combine to make a heavenly aroma.

With a sip you immediately notice the finesse of the bubbles and a medium weight, the finish is long with pleasant lingering flavours of acid from the fruit that give way to the brioche and familiar notes of caramel (though not sweet). This had me a do a double-take, the QPR on this is insane. Under $100 CAD for this, and it could hold its own with wines 2-3x that price. Highly recommend- if you can find it.
