This is the Tepsi Sharer plate…serves two, and we’ve been taking friends to a local place, “Taste Kurdish Food”, for years.

From top right going clockwise:
– shakshuka (tomatoes)
– various flatbreads
– borek (spinach and cheese rolls)
– date syrup
– fresh housemade apricot jam (they also sell jars to take home)
– yogurt and more syrup
– sucuk sausages
– fried mushrooms

The feta and olives and salad on the left might not be the most obvious choice for breakfast (at least, to our Western palates), but it works!

We always get a second round of bread (free, even in these tough times) to mop the sauces.

There are other delicious dishes on their menu, but this is our go to, so much so that the staff usually ask us if we even want a menu whenever we drop by 😋 And the last time we were there, every other table was at various stages of making their way through this same dish 😍

Also, who doesn’t love baklava? 🤤
