I’ll probably get some hate, but there’s been studies on this. #1 is the liquid doesn’t help moisture in the meat at all, nor does it infuse flavor. #2 is there’s a higher probability of the plastic lining of the can releasing toxins into the food than actually improving anything.
Basically this is a gimmicky way to cook. If you still want to do it, get a ceramic base for $20.
I’d suggest just smoking it or roasting it correctly.

Minus 10 points for not simply spatchcocking or quartering the duck. Beer can style is full of Billy-Bob-Science which doesn’t hold up.
