I’ve 1000% done this when my job had me in Seattle a week out of every month. I kept my “coffee-kit” in storage at the office: hand-grinder, portable kettle, scale, aeropress, filters, and a yeti mug.
The company I worked for chapter-11’d between trips, and I had to leave my kit behind.

Okay, why the hell would someone bring a whole Chemex? The AeroPress is the way to go for these situations. I would be worried about the glass breaking, personally.
