Today I found a Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port 2017 at a decent price, and because I always wanted to try a vintage port, I grabbed it right away.
The question is, should I keep it in a cellar for a few years before opening it? Will it be a real sacrilege to try it now? I searched the web a bit and it seems like that it is generally recommended to age a vintage wine in the bottle for decades, but modern vintage ports are said to be ok to try it young. If I can enjoy more fruit-forward flavor as a (poor) substitute for a mature savory flavor if I open it now, then I am leaning toward trying it now as I severely lack patience when keeping a wine… 😉

Thanks for any suggestion in advance!
