just got a used coffee machine. isnt that a little much “crema”? could it be that there is some sort of cleaning agent inside?

    What kind of coffee machine? If it’s a nespresso machine it legit spins the coffee to froth it

  2. Crema has a lot to do with the freshness of the beans you are using. Try older beans and see if there is still that much crema, I would guess not.

  3. If it uses a traditional portafilter and basket – look at the basket. Does it have less holes on the bottom side than the top?

    Some home machines have a basket with two layers called a pressurised basket which will increase the amount of crema produced also.
