I started a bunch of squash and cukes from seed (likely too early) and finally got them in the ground about two weeks ago. However, they don’t seem to be growing very well. To my eye, they’re pretty pale, and the flowers are falling off. Will they bounce back? Should i start over with new seeds, or is it too late even for that? Appreciate any guidance!

    1. It’s not too late. The first frost of autumn is when “too late” is measured from, that’s a long way from now.

    2. No reason to plant more unless you figure out what’s hammering on these. Did they get a late frost on them or something like that? They look very rough – and if that’s a disease, the replacement plants will catch it also

    3. Can you say more about what’s going on? Might help provide some suggestions. Has it been cold? Has it been wet? How are your other plants doing? What soil medium are you growing them in? Any fertilizer, compost, other additives? Watering regime?
