Tried few different coffee concoctions cause I’m not the brightest. Coffee and lemonade – called a thunderbolt in some NY magazine or something. I liked it a lot. The citrus changes Things. Cold brew and beer – was at a cafe chain in Barcelona’s gothic quarter called Satans. was ok as well. And the afore mentioned espresso tonic. A bit similar to the lemonade espresso drink. I admit, I’m strange and am willing to at least try strange things.

Even though it’s not espresso, yes, it is very good. I had my first espresso tonic at a local Cafe a few weeks ago and loved it. They used a lemon simple syrup to marry the two flavors

While it looks cool, it’s by far one of the more dreadful beverages I’ve had the misfortune of consuming.

I really don’t like tonic, but once I was at McCafé and I really wanted something cold, but they didn’t have ice latte (???) so I took their espresso tonic and it was absolutely delicious!

I had espresso tonic for the first time a few weeks ago. It’s amazing.
Like better than the sum of its parts good. The quinine and espresso just kind of merge flavors rather than add on top of each other. Highly recommended.

It’s quite common in speciality coffeeshops for a while. The tonic marries well with the espresso, but take care when you pour it in, just decant the tonic glass a bit or you will have a bubble fountain on your hands. Sprite also marries quite well with it.
