I have various containers, but mainly cook in my bar sink with custom lid for short cooks, it’s much more convenient and easy to fill and drain. I do long cooks in coolers with custom foam lids. No need to butcher the top so it can’t be used as a cooler anymore!

Careful with your sink temps. It’s possible the hotter than normal water can mess with your plumbing.

Could that damage the sink?

I have been looking for one of those coolers for ever
er-day
Be careful, friend’s quartz countertop just split from the heat. And I’ve heard of the adhesive failing for undermounted sinks from the heat.
