Yesss 150 kcal for the whole thing with 21.5 protein. I forgot to take a picture (it doesn’t look very pretty anyway) but here’s this recipe I found online! Dunno if anyone has posted about a similar recipe. There’s a lot of similar Konjac cake recipes online so it’s hard to credit who came up with it… It’s super quick to make and super high in protein AND fibre😙 without the cacao powder it’s just a very basic cake like base, you can experiment with the ingredients and I think it has a lot of potential!
*just be careful if you have a sensitive tummy, it might cause bloating and gas if you eat it in one sitting bc there’s a lot of fibre. Remember to drink lots of water while eating it!

Macros in the pic:
-Carbs 10g (it says 14.4 fibre so I’m a bit confused??)
-Protein 21.9g
-Fat 1.8

Ingredients I used:

-liquid egg white 200g
-Hershey’s cacao powder 13g (original one called for 7g but I didn’t have much left so I used up everything. It turned out really chocolaty so I do recommend adding more!)
-Konjac powder 10g
-sweetener 27g (original called for 20g but I’m a massive sweet tooth so I added more)
Any sweetener works! Here I used erythritol.
– salt 1g
– baking powder ~1.5 tsp (optional)
– optional but I added toffee flavour drop. I don’t think it changed much

Recipe:
-Preheat oven to 180c
-mix all ingredients with electric hand mixer until it can form a peak. You literally just dump everything together and start whipping it up. Just remember to beat it on low or hand mix it a lil bit at first because the powders will fly everywhere.
-pour/move mixture into ur baking mould of choice and bake for about 20 minutes!
– all doneeeee. It is going to collapse quite a lot but I think the volume is still there.

Yes it is this simple. Other alternative is to use 4 whole eggs instead of just egg whites.
There’s two ways to do this if you want to use whole eggs:

-1 is similar to true process above. You dump everything together and just start beating. Just an extra step is required, which is place the bowl that contains your mixture in a bigger bowl with warm water, otherwise it’s not going to be fluffy

-2 is to separate the yolk and white; mix all dry ingredients with yoke separately and fluff the whites; then you fold in the whipped whites just like you would with any other cake recipes!
