When we moved into our house, we bought a Weber Kettle. It was great but I hated having no room for working near the grill.

Last year, we picked up a Genesis 3-burner gas grill with a Little Griddle. The Little Griddle was annoying but usable. I got annoyed with it and wanted to upgrade to a dedicated griddle.

Additionally, every time we wanted to grill out, we had to get the charcoal and the torch from the garage, tongs or spatulas from the kitchen. It felt like a lot of running around.

I needed a table for the griddle, and it needed to be big enough to include the Kettle plus enough room to cook on both grills at once with food trays, utensils, etc.

The legs at each corner are 4x4s, 2×4 stretchers, 1x4s for the “floor” and deck boards for the top. All pressure-treated pine. I keep all my grill/griddle supplies in the Husky dust-proof totes, my ash collector is a 7-gallon feed bucket from Tractor Supply, and the trash-can is a 10-gallon lockable unit from Ace.

I still need to make some kind of cover for the griddle. For now, I keep it in the house when I’m not using it.

If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer. It was a fun experience and I’m glad we did it.
