After countless emails over the course of several months, we finally got a reservation at Asador Etxebarri and visited earlier this month. Meal was excellent from start to finish. We entered the restaurant a bit early to try to get a good table and were rewarded with a table by the window. We spent nearly 4.5 hours at the restaurant from start to finish and were able to visit the kitchen and meet the chef, Victor Arguinzoniz, after our meal.
This has been a wish list meal for many years and it did not disappoint. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and also added the lobster, which was well worth it. My personal favorites were the chorizo, prawns, chanterelles and steak. Some things were better than others but no real misses; very well rounded meal and we left stuffed.
