I already have a bunch of stuff I’d adjust on the pork butt and boneless skinless thighs. But for a first attempt, I’m super happy with both

Nice bark on that pork and good color on the chicken 👍

Good choice getting a Bullseye. It’s my favorite grill I have. So versatile it’s amazing – I use mine almost every other day. That’s some good looking pulled pork

Can’t tell from the photos your gonna have to invite us all over

And I’ve always heard pellets can’t get the same bark as stick burners. Bark like a dog, very nice for using a pellet hermano! Stay smokin.

That table thing looks like it would get in the way?…

The Bullseye is great. My only complaint is the controller a) won’t let you set less than 200 deg. and b) it wouldn’t matter because it runs hot anyway. I’ve set it at 200 or 225 and watched it ratchet up and down such that the true average temp is closer to 275. Nonetheless I don’t do many long low temp cooks so it’s not a deal breaker for me. On the flip side, I love cranking it all the way up in RIOT mode for searing and quick cooks.

What run did you use for the pork shoulder?

Amazing period. Don’t know how you get that bark out of a pellet smoker. Can tell you for sure I’ve never seen results like that on my Camp Chef.

Looks great, what is your chicken process?

Welcome to the Recteq family! I’m on my second (upgraded to an RT340) and I love them. I’ve cooked for 50+ people on it and tailgated too. Looks like you’re getting some good results!

I thought this was a self-shaming post, due to the pork. Then, I saw the insides, and thought it looked good.

Looks great! That chicken looks absolutely perfect. I have a question; do you know if you can use any brand of wood pellets in the Recteq? I’m seriously considering buying one of these bullseyes, but I’m a total newbie with wood pellet smokers.
I’ve been smoking on a Weber smoky mountain for a few years and I’d like to free up some of my time while cooking 😂

That butt had a fantastic looking bark, but (and I could be wrong) it looks like you might not have rested it long enough before you pulled it apart. Can’t be sure thou without tasting it.
