    **Ingredients:**

    * 2 to 3 ripe bananas
    * 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
    * 1 cup granulated sugar
    * 2 large eggs
    * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    * 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    * 1 teaspoon baking soda
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

    # Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or do it by hand with a wooden spoon. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next one. Mix in the mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract.

    3. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until the flour disappears. Be careful not to overmix as it can result in a denser texture.
    If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or chocolate chips into the batter. This step is optional but adds extra flavour and texture.

    4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

    5. Add the bananas, cut length-wise

    6. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. The cooking time may vary, so start checking for doneness around the 50-minute mark.

    7. Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Slice and serve the delicious banana bread on its own or with your favourite spreads. Enjoy!
