This is how you get a flavorful successful kibbeh every time.
INGREDIENTS:
For the filling,
– 2 large sweet onions finely diced
– 1 1/4 pounds of ground beef sirloin
– 1 1/2 tsp of salt
– 1/2 tbsp of allspice
– 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon
– 1 tsp of black pepper
– 2 tbsp of pine nuts/ optional
For the outer shell,
– 3 cups of/ WELL SOAKED fine bulgur wheat, soak in 7 cups of warm water and leave for an hour.
– 3/4 of a pound of ground beef /sirloin
– 1 medium grated onion
– 1 tbsp of marjoram
– 1 tbsp of dried mint
– 1 tsp of cumin
– 1/2 tbsp of salt
– 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
– 1 tsp of black pepper
adjust salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
for the yogurt,
– 1 whole european cucumber/ seedless
– 1 tsp of dried mint
– 1/4 tsp of smashed garlic
– 2 cups of plain yogurt
– salt to taste
for the yogurt kibbeh:
you will need,
– 3 cups of yogurt
– 1 tbsp of corn starch
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tbsp of smashed garlic
– 1 tsp of parsley
– 1 tbsp of dried mint

  2. A friend of mine posted a link to a baked kibbeh recipe a few days ago, and I only now got a chance to look at it. Their link didn't really explain much to my very Western self, so I did my own research. I want this. This looks SO TASTY and easy to make, and I know my family would enjoy it.
