I’ve actually been following this guy on Instagram for two years now.
I didnt know this. He may be a “fake foodie” but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit he’s turned me on to some great restaurants.
There’s also inflation for why restaurants have raised their prices. You can find pictures of the menu for Detroit Institute of Bagels on their old Yelp page from when they used to be on Michigan Ave. It used to be cheaper over there and they’ve never been promoted by Chowdown Detroit.
He hasn’t been wrong on his reviews yet imo.

He’s been busted before about being paid promote. He’s not that big anymore, I don’t watch or care for his reviews because he claims everywhere is good… he doesn’t get that much traffic like he used to
You’re better off finding someone small on tik tok for honest reviews in the area IMO
