ohhhhhh I was looking for these but didn't know what they are called lol.. our Egyptian friend made them but she baked them with cream cheese in them or ground beef. soooooo good. thank you 🙂

Alia, I am not a very experienced baker and I have a wheat intolerance. I have been trying to do your breads, but by using spelt flour instead of wheat flour. They come out tasting nice, but I have trouble with the shape and texture. Have you ever baked with Spelt flour? Also, my dough tends to stick to the surface that I leave it to rise on. Is it ok to oil the surface, or should I use some waxed paper or something?
I would use a little bit of flour to avoid sticking.
I have never used spelt flour before – it sounds interesting, I should try it!

In Mexico there is a very similar dish. It is called "Gorditas". The filling is usually ground meat.
In South India there is a similar bread called Dosa.
