    Ingredients
    – Milk powder – 1 cup (I have used – Nestle everyday milk powder)
    – Whole Milk – 1 cup
    – Powdered Sugar – 1/3 cup
    – Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
    – Desi Ghee/ Clarified butter – 1 1/2 tsp

    Note: Need some Desi ghee and powdered sugar while shaping peda

    Instructions:

    1. In a non-stick pan, heat 1 1/2 tsp ghee on low heat until it melts.

    2. Add the 1 cup milk powder to the melted ghee and roast it on low heat for about 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring continuously to prevent burning. The milk powder will turn brownish

    3. Pour 1 cup milk in it and mix it well with the roasted milk powder.

    4. Continue to cook and stir the mixture on low heat. It will become thick and crumbly and starts leaving the sides of the pan and become a soft dough.
    Turn of the flame or heat.

    5. Remove the peda mixture in a pan and allow it to slightly cool down. It should be warm and not too hot.

    6. Add a pinch of cardamom powder and 1/3 cup powdered sugar. Mix well. The sugar will start dissolving in the mixture.

    7. Take a small portion, roll it round and shape it into a smooth small ball. Grease your hands with little ghee so that the peda will not stick

    8. Coat it with powdered sugar.

    9. Set it aside to cool down completely. After it cools down it will become firm and less sticky.

    10. Serve it to your family and guest. Enjoy!

    11. If there are any leftovers, store it in an airtight container and refrigerate it.
