First post here, but I’ve been lurking for awhile and learning a lot!
We’re coming up on our first frost here, and my fig trees have tons of small unripe figs on them still. Last year, I made the attached recipe and loved it, but I just kept them in the fridge until we finished them off.
This year, I’d like to can up the figs and give them as gifts, but I’ve learned enough here to assume that the recipe isn’t safe to can as is.
Does anyone have a similar unripe fig recipe that’s tested and approved? Preferably one that doesn’t use a pressure canner, as I’m still a canning novice and those things scare me a little. Thanks in advance for your help!
