475g Plain Flour
25g Cocoa (we use a mix of regular and black cocoa)
1 tsp Salt
3 tsp Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1 Egg Yolk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Red Food Colouring (paste food colouring not liquid)

Do I bake this from frozen? I’m in the US.
1. 355 F or 350 F with a fan? What about if oven doesn’t have fan?

I live in the USA and am curious about the difference between soft light brown sugar and the light brown sugar we use here. Can I use them interchangeably? Our LBS is packable, so I guess moister or with more molasses? Can I just use equivalent weights and get the same result?
What type of cocoa powder are you guys using? Mine makes the cookies turn dark brown. Even after red food coloring are used. 🙁

i put them in the freezer like you said but when i cooked them for 12 minutes, they were still in ball form and not cooked at all. i did 350 degrees ferenhight.
I made this. Super delicious and gooey. This is a no fail recipe. But guyss a suggestion. Please use only 200g butter instead of 30g. These cookies are way too oily. So only 200g is enough for the recipe.
The cookie is crispy on the outside but the inside is very soft and doughy, like the texture of the unbaked dough, should it be like that?

Just tried the recipe . Not sure ehat i did wrong i kept them in the freezer for almost 4 hrs but while baking they spread and formed into one giant cookie😢😢😢

Why do you add the eggs at the end? Most recipes I've seen and tried before add the eggs righ after creaming the butter and sugars. I was wondering what difference does it make adding them at the end.

Can I use this recipe to make a skillet cookie/ baked cookie dough. Or does the recipe need to be modified to do that?
Hi Cupcake Jemma, I'm planning to bake these cookies. I notice that in your book you say 190C for 16 minutes but in this video it's 180C for 14 minutes. It looks like you've changed the temperature for all the NYC cookies in your book to 190C. Can you explain why? Which one should I go with> Thanks.
